I am a former Torontonian coming in for a visit, and yours is my favorite pub.
Lovely Surprise!Found it by chance strolling along Wellington St. We are slightly older than the bar crowd but decided to try it. Immediately felt we made the right choice, greeted by charming hostess, shown to window table in dining room (there is a separate bar area). Excellent service, great food: seafood special that our server recommended. Reasonably priced, will definitely go back, looked like a great patio.
Amazing experience! My very first visit to Bar Wellington was last night, we were a group of twelve and I can't say enough about how great of a time we all had. I'll start by recommending the double Caesar, excellent drink.Everyone in our group enjoyed their entrees, which is unusual in a large group, there were burgers, prime rib, seafood pasta, steak frites, beef shirt ribs etc...Three of us had the beef short ribs, they are absolutely delicious! Our server was top of the line, she was gracious, friendly, genuine, polite, prompt, always there when we needed her without even being called. My other favorite perk is the corkage fee of five dollars per bottle of wine, I believe it's a Sunday night feature only, it made dinner for two with coffee a very affordable sixty dollars. When visiting Toronto or if you live here and want an awesome place to eat I highly recommend Bar Wellington.
Cozy Venue and GOOD Food!A comfortable, wood-paneled bar with elegantly finished tables and banquettes. Courteous and efficient service (shout out to the servers, especially Lauren) for some good beers and good food. Red Quinoa Salad ($12) was generous and tasty. The Brisket Beef Dip sandwich ($16) was full and flavourful, served up on a fresh crunchy bun. The dip was very beefy and I just wish it could have been kept warm. Choice of sides but the Caesar Salad was a bit underwhelming with a lack of garlic and Parmesan cheese. It did come with a fried cheese circle which didn't quite cover it.
Great pub in good location with good foodGood atmosphere and patio. Warm vegetable salad is yummy! Nice selection of beers. Has good authentic old pub feel.
The bar is set at bar wellingtonFirst off, you have an incredible patio with unobstructed views. The interior is tastefully decorated paying homage to the history of the building. There is a great assortment of craft beers but the sangria! Red or white,it is sure to please. We were a large group with varied tastes, including vegetarian and gluten free. The food was served promptly and expertly, and no one in our party had complaints. We will be back.
Chilled Out DiningVisited twice the same week while staying at a nearby hotel, on both occasions sat on the patio as it was a hot week. took a peek inside, it's a bit querky, like somebodies house. Nice selection of beers and food, had the nachos, chicken curry and burger, all good. Great place for people watching on a Friday and Saturday night.
Brunch or LunchWhether brunch or lunch this place has good service and good food. Great patio with a good slection of beer. Always a good times.
Great place to goThis is an amazing neighbourhood pub, I've never had bad food here. The best fish and chips in the area but unfortunately they only have it Friday for lunch. I am okay with Friday only, but have it all day. To be honest that is the reason why they got 4/5 and not 5/5. The food and drink selection is amazing and staff very friendly.
Great service, good food and beerEnjoyed a casual dinner here. Very friendly staff, good atmosphere. Fish and chips decent, more craft beers would have been welcome but we got something we liked from the menu. Overall a very pleasant visit!
Patio In the core of King Street West...yet quieter. Great old-fashioned and good service. Will be a regular here.
Situated in the popular area of King WestThe bar has ample indoor and outdoor space. It occupies both the floors of what I guess used to be an old house with 2 nice patios (upstairs and downstairs). It has a perfect setting for restaurant-goers wanting to enjoy some food and beverage while enjoying the summer weather. Food - lots of options. I was surprised that for a bar, it has a number of healthy options and caters to both veg and non-veg patrons. My boyfriend ordered the BLT with a salad which he thought was tasty and I ordered the Vallarta Antojitos (baked tortilla with spicy black bean and avocado served with sour cream and salsa) which too was pretty good. Service - the hostess was nice and we didn't feel like we were forgotten at any point of time. Will definitely plan on going back to enjoy the patio and the food!

Love love love the delicious food!!!!!Location: right at the corner of Wellington and Portland. Always lively in that area with lots of locals. Food: Amazing!!!!!! Absolutely delectable !!! I ordered the salmon sandwich and a side of house salad (included). My ordered ordered the same but with fries instead. The salmon was perfectly cooked on the inside, and the sauce they combined it with was unbelievable. The fries were perfect! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with just enough salt on them. My sister ordered the chick peas sandwich with salad. The quantity AND quality for the amount you pay is great! Staff/atmosphere: we sat outside on the patio which was nice and kept us enjoying the scenery. I stepped inside for a bit and was not liking the old bar atmosphere. Staff was friendly. Service was good. I will most definitely be back and bringing more company with me. Can't wait!!! Hats off to the chef!!!!!!
